College football TV viewing guide: Five games to watch

We move from Rivalry Weekend to Championship Weekend, which could lead us to more controversy when the final College Football Playoff rankings are announced on Sunday.

If TCU and Baylor both win, watch out. Or if Florida State beats Georgia Tech and falls to No. 5, then this entire process would be a farce.

Anyway, here’s the best games to check out on a weekend with a limited schedule.

Friday

Arizona vs. Oregon (Pac-12 Championship game), 9 p.m., Fox

Rich Rodriguez knows something that other coaches figure out. He knows how to beat Oregon. Arizona upset the Ducks earlier this season after defeating them last years. Marcus Mariota figures to win the Heisman, but Wildcats freshman QB Anu Solomon has been spectacular at times. They’ll need him in this one.
